34. How to add Shopping cart to your website? |
34.1. Adding Shopping CartSelect the page where you want to add the shopping cart. Clear any pre-loaded elements from the content area (The shopping cart needs full width to display all its contents perfectly). Drag the “Cart” element from the "Ecommerce" panel to your web page and resize it.

34.2. Try ‘Demo’ CartYou could see the complete functionality of the cart before you actually purchase it. Click on the “How it works” link on top left corner of the cart element. The pop-up screen provides you some instructions and the link to manage your “Demo” cart.

34.3. How to manage your cart / storeThe following screen shows various elements you could use to manage your shopping cart.

34.4. Store / Shop settingsHere is where you make fundamental settings of your shop. You will define the language, currency, the symbol of currency, etc. You also need to define the contact person and the address (street, city, state, zip/postal, etc. separated with commas) to which your customers contact. Again you could select different themes, which provides various look for your cart. To edit any field, just double click on it.

34.5. Add / Edit CategoryHere you create new category or edit existing categories. Click on the “Add New” link to create a new category. Double click on any name to edit it at any time.

34.6. Add / Edit ProductsTo add or edit new products, first select the category first and then click on the “Manage Products” link.

34.7. Manage ProductsTo add a new products click on the “Add new” link as indicated in the following image. To edit an existing product and related items, just double click on any existing fields.

34.8. Activate new product / Suspend and existing product / Make featured productsUntil you change the status of a product “ACTIVE” any added item will not be available for your users. Again click on the “Add to featured products” to make it appear on the main area of the home page.

34.9. Promotional offersTo add a store wide promotion (during any special event or season), select the “Promo / Offer” link from the home page and add / edit the offer number, a short description and the promotion code (which your customers to be used to obtain the promotion) along with the discount percentage. You should inform your customers about the promotional offer, either by displaying the code at the home page of your shopping cart or sending to them via email, mail order, or any other method you prefer. Note: At this time there is no option to provide discount for individual items. But in future we may add that feature.

34.10. Manage CustomersClick on the Customers link on the home page to view your customer details and to manage them.

34.11. Manage OrdersSelect the “Orders” link from the home page manage your orders received.

34.12. Payment SettingsHere you define how you receive the payments from your customers. If you like to receive orders via PayPal (or credit card via PayPal), select the “PayPal” option and provide your PayPal email address. On the other hand, if you like your customers contact you for payment after ordering items from your cart, select the “Offline Payment” option and add the method of contact (Ex. phone number). Once your customers contacted and you collected the payment, you could process the order in this method.

34.13. Home Page SettingsThis text area is used to give any special message to your customers at the home page of your shopping cart. But if you are using our site builder, you don’t need to use this field. This is because you could use the text element of the site builder to serve this purpose.

34.14. Preview your demo shopping cartYou could preview your shopping cart at any time and the following image is a sample view of your demo cart.

34.15. Purchase shopping cartIf you haven’t purchased your shopping cart yet, select the cart element you have added to web page and click on the edit button from the navigation bar. The screen you get provides the link to purchase your cart. Please see the below given screenshot for reference.

34.16. Manage your shopping cartIf you already purchased your shopping cart, you could edit your cart by selecting the cart element you have added to web page. Click on the edit button from the navigation bar and screen you get provides the link to manage your cart. Please see the below given screenshot for reference.

34.17. Preview your purchased cartYour final shopping cart ( after adding all the necessary categories, products, and assign necessary items into the featured list), it will look something similar to the below given shopping cart. This is how your customers view your cart (ecommerce website).
